I have just finished my 35th year of continuous street ministry to downtown Burlington. Restoration Baptist Church, and Burlington Street Ministries have been ministering as a church to these same streets for 26 years.

This year, we have accomplished the following;

Professions of faith - 8
Personal Evangelistic encounters - 216
Bibles given out - 1,052
Hot meals to the homeless - 917
$5 McDonald's Gift Certificates given out to those in need - 1,350
$5 Quizno Gift Cards to needy families - 868
Bags of Groceries to needy families - 1,553


We have finished our outdoor street outreach for the summer and have now moved inside for the winter.

We minister on two fronts. One is to the streets downtown Burlington, the other to
Northgate apartments, a 336 apartment complex in the New North End of Burlington, with over 900 people who live here, mostly low income.

We are praying for a fruitful winter ministry, and we are excited to see what God will do on the streets in 2010.
